Marshgate on the east campus of University College London on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, brings students together with world experts in sciences, arts and humanities to explore solutions to key challenges facing the planet.
The east campus evelopment is the largest single expansion since UCL was founded nearly 200 years ago and comprises of Marshgate and One Pool Street.
Mitsubishi Electric is proud to have contributed to this prestigious project by supplying ten NEXIEZ-MRL Lifts, four Escalators, two Third-Party Goods Lifts and two Third-Party Platform Lifts.
Incorporating our monitoring and control system MelEye, the building managers are able to observe the operational status of each of the Lifts and Escalators whilst adapting to continually changing passenger traffic. Thus optimising the performance of people flow.
Working once again with the Main Contractor Mace, Mitsubishi Electric delivered another successful landmark project.
Designed by architect Stanton Williams, the 35,000m² ten story Marshgate building provides high-tech laboratories, research space and designated areas for outreach programmes.
A car free site with approx 1,500 cycle spaces and 1,000 sqm of solar panels on the Marshgate building generating clean and renewable energy.
